Revised for 2012, this compact guide contains information on hundreds of independent hostels, backpackers, and bunk houses throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Public transport information is included and hostels within 1, 3 or 5 miles of the National Cycle Network are labelled.
Independent hostels are ideal accommodation for individuals, groups and families involved in outdoor activities and sightseeing. The hostels are in a wide range of buildings, from grand city houses to barns and cottages. They generally have self catering facilities and all offer friendly, clean and inexpensive accommodation with no membership requirements.
