Nottingham, Sheffield , Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley are among the key urban connections on this route, which incorporates sections of the Trans Pennine Trail. The City of York, at the northern end of the Route, incorporates many fascinating medieval sites, as well as being probably the most cycle-friendly city in the UK.
