Danube Bike Trail Part 3: Slovak and Hungarian Danube- From Vienna to Budapest
The Danube Bicycle Route from Voenna to Budapest is the logical extension of the most popular cycle route in Europe, the Danube Bicycle Route from Passau to Vienna. A little wilder, but just as interesting, the 340-kilometre ride passes through parts of Austria, Slovakia and Hungary, taking in pristine villages and culturally interesting cities like Gyor and Esztergom in Hungary, the Danube's scenic "knee" north of Budapest, and of course the ancient and exquisite Hungarian capital city itself.
This spiral-bound, full-colour book with excellent mapping (1:75,000) describes the 210-mile (340km) route from Vienna to Budapest along the banks of the mighty Danube, forming part of EuroVelo Route 6. Includes detailed route instructions, background information about places of interest, transport and Tourist Information Centres, plus a full accommodation listing at the back of the book. (English).
